Most private drivers in Bali only accept cash payments. While some have started accepting PayPal or Wise transfers, this is still uncommon. Important payment considerations:
- Never pay 100% upfront – this is a red flag
- Discuss payment timing before starting your journey
- Carry enough Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) for the full payment plus any additional expenses
- Keep small bills for entrance fees, meals, and other incidentals
